Author's Note: After reading IT3 I couldn't resist. I've always had a
little obsession with that fish...

Summary:  More POVs from the others in P & C's lives.

THE FISH

I feel unappreciated! Does he know how long it takes every day to look like
this? How much time I spend to look as fascinationg and brilliant as I do?
No he doesn't!!! He never realized how long it takes me to do maintainance*
so my fins would spread in such a proud manner? How careful I have to be
with what I eat to keep up my shining brilliant colour like red corals?

Blub!

He used to look at me all time and marvel my beauty! He read to me from the
book on his desk and even though I can't understand a syllable he's
utttering I loved the deep and soothing tone of his voice...

Blub!

Now he's only speaking to that redheaded bipedal being. From these strange
rituals they are performing very intelligtent me has figured out that the
redhead must be a female.

Blub!

I just don't see what he likes about that one, who is way to hairy! I am
soft and smooth and cool and she is HAIRY!!! Something any sentient being
would detest!
He's not hairy! All right, maybe a bit, but still acceptable for an aquatic
being.

Blub!

Well - I didn't like him quite so much in the beginning, because he was
wearing some covering in red and black, but one day I found out, that his
body is different. He can put out these covers and looks quite attractive
then...
Not that I would ever let him touch me! He would ruin my colours...I'm
getting spots and my colour fades just by thinking of being touched by
anyone! But still he is interesting!

Blub!

Now all his attention is directed towards that female. In good old days he
would direct all his attention to me when we were alone, but now we're
hardly ever alone anymore! Everytime I think he might have time to admire
me again this other one storms in.

Blub!

All right  - when she's here I get to see his body without the unattractive
rough covering, but I want him for myself again! I wonder what pleases him
so much rolling on the floor with her or he almost broke his sitting object
a few days ago by humping her up and down on it! So much body contact is
really sick! I think they're mating this way!

Blub!

Oh! My species does it better - of course: No immediate contact, not even
in mating! Just clean and smooth and shiny eggs that take care of
themselves.

Blub!

Anyways, this mating ritual is really strange and take way too long. These
bipedals must be a very infertile species because they do it all the time.
Or maybe it's only her who can't generate eggs. I have seen him spilling
out a lot of liquid over her lately. It was all over her body - must have
felt nice.

Blub! Blub!

They were rubbing their bodies together and I have heard a lot of sounds
through the glass of my home. As I said before, they were using the sitting
object which didn't seem to be happy about it at all. He was sitting
underneath her and she was bouncing up and down on his lap. They seemed to
like this chore that seems unusual to me. But then they stopped and she
slid to the floor of their outside sphere.

Blub!

And then I saw an unusual attachment that was errecting from his lap -
right where she had been bouncing up and down. She must have seen it too
and I was really afraid when she snapped it with her mouth. I couldn't do
anything about it! He was in danger!

Blub! Blub!

I had heard about some species where females eat males after mating, but I
never assumed these bipedals to be as archaic to do so! There always seemed
to be some intelligence there!

Blub!

But then I realised that he liked it! I could tell by the expression on his
face. She was sucking on his attachment and as faster she moved the more he
liked it. And the female moved and played with him in her mouth and then I
saw it. The liquid. It was pouring all over her body and they were laughing
and pressing their mouths upon each others...

Blub!

Oh! I almost forgot! It's time for mainainance now! I have to go and move
my body in the bubbles so I'll be looking fresh and beautiful, just as he
likes me to look! Maybe one day he'll pay me the adoration he owes me
again! And I have to be ready for it!
